Project Analyst

Along with the Project Manager, the Project Analyst deals with the operational and technical side of a project, as well as helping to set up new projects of a high-tech nature.

Main Activities

The analyst must undertake a feasibility study for a project. He is in charge of setting it up, co-ordinating operations as well as co-ordinating and advising the programmers. Being in charge of maintenance for the project, he must prepare and initiate any test phases and ensure operations run according to schedule.

Qualities Required

An analyst must rapidly acquire a profound understanding of the high-tech side of BNP Paribas and be able to pinpoint the origin of any faults, offering immediate solutions. A background in Computer Science is essential (including knowledge of methods of analysis, programming and one or a number of computer languages). Teamwork is vital for the success of a project. The project analyst must have good communication and interpersonal skills (being able to listen to the needs of system users), and similarly the ability to negotiate with his colleagues.
